Understanding Cybercrime
Cybercrime is a growing problem globally and often targets governments, businesses, and individuals. Often, cybercrime seeks to steal money, but it can also involve denial of service attacks that impact critical infrastructures and businesses from operating.
In our class discussion this week, answer the following questions:
· Explain the global implications of cybercrime. For example, explain how the internet is used in cybercrime and how it can be difficult to mitigate the size of cybercrime.

Critical infrastructure protection is important because an attack on U.S. soil can have devastating impacts. In this forum Civil Discourse, analyze potential terror targets in the United States and explain why they are vulnerable of an attack. Assess what can be done to protect these targets from a homeland security perspective.
